The Best Chicken You’ll Ever Make

Since this is my first entry, lemme break down how this is gonna work. First, you should know that the thorn in my side is recipe sites that you have to scroll to the bottom, past a million words and pop ups to get to the actual recipe. No sir. Just give me what I came for.

So, I’ll post the ingredients and recipe first and if you would like to stay for my suggestions and witty banner, feel free to keep scrolling. That’s it. Simple, right?

So let’s go:

The Best Chicken You’ll Ever Make

Ingredients:

Bone-in chicken thighs (this recipe is for 4 chickens but you could do 6)

2 red onions

Bag o'potatoes

Asparagus

Carrots (save some time and buy carrot chips)

Other veggies like green beans, bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. (note: I’ve tried zucchini. Don’t do it - ends up soggy)

Olive oil

Pepper

Salt

Garlic powder (or garlic cloves)

Large sheet pan

Heavy duty aluminum foil

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Line a large sheet pan with the foil. (I spray the foil with cooking spray to make sure nothing sticks.)

2. Rough chop the veggies and lay them out on the pan. There’s no order to this. Just spread them out all willy nilly. Drizzle olive oil over the vegetable and season with lots of pepper, salt and garlic powder. (If you are using cloves, just place the cloves with the veggies and omit the powder.)

3. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels (Don’t skip this! It makes the skin nice and crispy.) pull the skin back and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Replace skin and place the thighs skin up on top of the veggies (Yes on top. Those chicken juices make the veggies super good.)

4. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and salt, pepper and garlic powder those thighs.

5. Put in oven and cook for 50 minutes at 500 degrees. Enjoy the sizzle sound coming from that pan. Oh, it’s gonna be good.

6. When the timer goes off, take out of oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Then divvy everything up and enjoy.
